Jaspreet Singh - Managing Partner

Jaspreet Singh is a founding member of Roman & Singh, LLP and the managing partner of the Fremont, California and Sacramento, California branch offices. His concentration is primarily in United States immigration and nationality law. Born and raised in Punjab, India, Mr. Singh obtained his B.A. in Political Science from Guru Nanak Dev University at Amritsar, Punjab, India in 1986 and his J.D. from the University of Punjab in Patiala, Punjab, India in 1991. He obtained his Masters of Law (LLM) from Wayne State University (Michigan) in 1995 with a special emphasis on Corporate Finance. Mr. Singh is a member of the New York Bar (1997) and California Bar (2003) and is admitted to practice before all immigration courts throughout the United States. Prior to moving to the United States permanently, Mr. Singh practiced for several years in India concentrating in criminal law to which he lends his experience to the firm today. His father was also a very respected judge in the Sessions Court of the State of Punjab before recently retiring. Mr. Singh is a leader in the Sikh community, speaking regularly at major Sikh functions such as the annual Sikh Day parade and at Sikh Gurudwaras in California, New Jersey and New York. Mr. Singh was also part of a select Sikh contingency that met with President George W. Bush in the Oval Office to discuss Sikhs’ concerns and civil rights in the United States in the aftermath of September 11, 2001. Jaspreet is also legal advisor to Simranjit Singh Mann, member of the Indian Parliament and president of the Akali Dal (Amritsar) based in Punjab, India. He is also United States counsel to Indian film and Bollywood superstar Sunny Deol and noted Bollywood film director Rahul Rawail. Jaspreet is also the face of the law firm and can be seen in our extensive print and television advertising. He travels extensively on behalf of the firm to both coasts on a weekly basis.
